PGA Championship
The PGA Championship is an annual golf tournament, conducted by the Professional Golfers Association of America as part of the PGA TOUR. The PGA Championship is one of the four Major Championships in men's golf, and it is the golf season's final major, being played in August. It is an official money event on both the PGA TOUR and the PGA European Tour.In line with the other majors, winning the PGA gives a golfer several privileges which make his career much more secure, if he is not already one of the elite of the sport. PGA champions are automatically invited to play in the other three majors (The Masters, US Open and British Open) for the next five years, and are exempt from qualifying for the PGA Championship for life. They also receive membership on the PGA TOUR for the following five seasons and invitations to THE PLAYERS Championship for five years.

In August 2007, at the age of 31, he won his thirteenth professional major golf championship and has more wins on the PGA Tour than any other active golfer. He is the only active golfer in the top 10 in career major wins and career PGA Tour wins.

Ford Championship at Doral, February 26 - March 5, 2006
The Ford Championship at Doral is a PGA Tour golf tournament, which takes place on the "Blue Monster" course at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Doral, Florida, a suburb of Miami. The tournament is played in early March. It was first played in 1962 and has had various names over the years, the most recent of which was the Doral Ryder Open, in recognition of its corporate sponsor Ryder System.
The tournament usually attracts one of the strongest fields on the PGA Tour outside of the major championships and the World Golf Championships. In 2005 nine of the top ten players in the official world rankings participated and after an exciting fourth day duel with World Number 4 Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods won by a shot to regain the number one ranking he had lost six months earlier to Vijay Singh, who finished in a tie for third.
The 2006 Ford Championship at Doral again included nine of the top ten golfers in the world and Tiger Woods won by one stroke.
